Kimberley Snow, Ph.D., joined SBI as Program Director in 2007. She is a novelist, a prize-winning playwright and author of the memoir In Buddha's Kitchen: Cooking and Being Cooked in a Retreat Center, as well as Writing Yourself Home and Keys to the Open Gate. She taught literature at UCSB for many years and now leads workshops on various dharma topics including writing and meditation with her husband, the poet Barry Spacks. She studied with Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche for six years at Rigdzin Ling, a Chagdud Gonpa center in Northern California.
